Lunch at the Marina

Today, we had lunch at a marina restaurant on the Mississippi River.

As it was a hot day, 95 degrees with humidity in the mid 50s,
we ate inside.

Afterwards we went to the shaded patio below.

There was a light breeze

A pleasant spot to "boat watch" for a short while.

It's always exciting to watch the tug boats push their barges past ........

and the railroad bridge, farther down river, swing open to allow the barge to go through.

On the drive home we passed the most charming flower shop
with lots of gorgeous flowers........

I don't even know if it was Open.... we were too hot to think about getting out of the car to shop outdoors.

I'm saving that for a day when I can take my time and enjoy exploring every little crook and corner.

Wishing you a Blessed Sunday,

          Hugs,

  2. Beautiful photos of the marina. And the flower shop looks like a lovely place.
It often gets very hot here too, so we have to stay inside during the day. But it cools down nicely in the evenings.

  5. Oh my, the flower shop looks like a lovely place to browse and fill one's senses with fragrance. My hubby would love the photos of the marina as he was around the water all his life growing up! Thanks for your visit and I wish you a delightful week.

    Blessings,
