Estate Sale Find and a Recipe

Hi, thanks for stopping over.

You're just in time for tea!
Ice tea? or would you prefer lemonade?
Lets sit on the screen porch.

It's a little warm today but there's a breeze
which makes it comfortable.

I made a recipe new to me and I L-O-V-E it!
It's chef Tyler Florence's recipe called
Lemon Pudding Cake found online here.

You just mix it up and bake in ramekins.
It creates the pudding layer
all by itself while it bakes.
It's like Magic!!!!
and So yummy served warm.

Now I want to show you my latest
estate sale find.

This Lefton Bluebird Cookie Jar.
Isn't she adorable?

I've made her available for sale on my ebay site here.

UPDATE:
This Bluebird cookie jar is now SOLD, as is
the sweet little sugar bowl of the same pattern.
Thank You!

I'm so glad you could join me for
tea and dessert today.

Please stop back soon.

I party here, won't you join us?

Thrifty Resale Shop Finds

I made a trip to a
local thrift resale shop this weekend,
and spent a whopping total of 75 cents on
two bags of miniature goodies
that I'm hoping will have lots
of crafting possibilities.

I can't wait to see what's inside.

Let's take a look...

...a little sled, perfect for the season
lots of possibilities...

...several bears...

the tiniest little rocking horses I've ever seen
must be a whole one-half inch tall...

a gnome,
I'm not really into gnomes, but maybe
I can do something with him in the
Spring...a garden themed something or other...

chicks...

also good for the Spring & Easter season.

One unfortunate little guy is missing a foot
but I'm sure I can place him somewhere
so it goes unnoticed.

owls are popular right now
and this one is a cutie...

a sweet little Christmas mouse...
just look at that face,
and oh, those ears, ha!

vintage choir angels
with golden wings and glittered gowns...

a smaller than bite-size gingerbread man
cookie cutter...

teeny tiny little ice skaters...

and last but certainly not least,
my absolute faaavorite!
this adorable little vintage deer

LOVE LOVE LOVE her

certainly worth buying both bags
just to rescue her alone

Well now,
I just have to figure out
where to use all of these tiny treasures.

I got to get crafting!

Until next time,

Warm Hugs,
BettyJean

 Red Velvet Cake.
I know just the recipe I'm going to make.

This recipe comes from Young Adventures Kitchen (click on the Recipe Index Tab at the top of their home page).
Hop on over for a visit, so many recipes there and they're all sooo tempting and scruptious looking.  Drool!

It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas???

At a recent garage sale I happened upon a box of vintage bottle brush Christmas trees.....

decorated with snow and mercury glass balls.

Snowy little village houses, shops, and church ornaments
were also tucked inside the box..........

Known as Putz houses.....
 they are constructed from cardboard/chipboard
and typically covered with mica, although these are covered with a a rather coarse chip.
Each with a hanger and a hole in the back where a Christmas tree light could be inserted......

Cellophane over many of the little windows and doors have become brittle and broken over time.

There's even a little vintage pipe cleaner Santa.........

All are stamped on the underside with either Japan or

Maed in Japan with this unusual spelling........

.

I plan to be listing these on my ebay site sometime soon.
