The Best Dad

Not only is my husband a great person and husband,
he's also the Best kind of Dad.

Right from the start he wanted to be involved...

took off time of work to be home when the
babies came home from the hospital.

He enjoyed giving baths, changing diapers, everything.

Playing Hide and Seek was everyone's  favorite.
He would hang the blankets on the side of the crib
so he couldn't be seen.

Then made sounds until they found him.

Later it became a routine to
take a bike ride in the evening after we'd eaten.
Me, being the stay at home mom,
needed a break about then,
so off they went on their ride while I cleaned up
and loaded the dishwasher.

Then

Happy Father's Day

From what I could find on the internet,
which wasn't much,
she was manufactured in 1901 or 1902
by the U. S. Glass Company

Just in time for a Valentine Tea Party !

Image how she'll look holding a
 Red Velvet Cake.
I know just the recipe I'm going to make.

This recipe comes from Young Adventures Kitchen (click on the Recipe Index Tab at the top of their home page).
Hop on over for a visit, so many recipes there and they're all sooo tempting and scruptious looking.  Drool!

Watch for upcoming details about my "Love Story" Valentine Linky Party Marathon.

Look What I Got for Christmas...

...from my dear Sweet Mr.

Yes, that's right,
a cute little wire basket loaded with
Annie Sloan Products, Yay!

6 colors of chalk paint

clear and dark wax,

 brushes, wiping cloth

and an instructions book...

It's so nice to have him support my creative side.

I have a whole garage full of pieces just waiting to be transformed.
But it's winter here in Central U.S. which means it may be a few months (uggh!) before I can dig in on the bigger projects- since I really don't have a good place to do it other than dragging it out onto the driveway.
I just have to hope the 2012 spring and summer months aren't as rainy and humid as last year.

Warm Hugs,

Lions Rose Day

I am so blessed to have the sweetest husband. An all around nice guy, and, a real gentleman; perhaps even a bit of a hopeless romantic. He never misses an oppportunity to hold a door for me, and always remembers special occasions such as my birthday, our wedding anniversary or Valentines Day with a card and/or a gift and occasionally sends me flowers.

And when the doorbell rings and I find myself on the receiving end of a RANDOM delivery of one dozen roses, I remember, "Oh, it must be Lions Annual Rose Day".

They were Red this year and especially beautiful!

Take a peek.....
